The Jeddah Tower, formerly known as the Kingdom Tower, is the next tallest building in the world will open in Saudi Arabia. It is a skyscraper on hold in the north side of Jeddah. It is expected to be the first building in the world of 1 km (3,281 feet) high and its surrounding around 50 hectares (120 acres). The Jeddah Tower will have the highest hanging balcony and an observation deck in 652 meters above from the sea level.
The economic city of Jeddah was designed by the architects HOK. Its construction cost is estimated at least US$ 1.2 billion, and its construction takes about ten years. Designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, the Jeddah Tower is a mixed-use development that will feature luxury apartments, office space, a hotel, and an observation deck. The tower’s unique sloping design, with a tapering facade that rotates 120 degrees as it ascends to the top, is inspired by the form of a desert plant shooting upward.
